A Keylogger (or Keystroke Logger) is any application that can record keyboard and/or mouse activity, incoming and outgoing e-mail messages, chat room conversations, Web sites visited, program activity, etc. Keyloggers store the information or transmit it over the Internet for review by an unauthorized third-party.
